Reaching Beyond the Veil

July 5, 2012

On June 23rd, I stood on the stage of the Lincoln Theater in Decatur, Illinois to speak at the 16th Annual Haunted America Conference about my research and experiences with spirit communication. It was my second consecutive year, and I was honored to have been asked to return by conference host Troy Taylor. While public speaking is always a nerve wracking experience for me, I was and continue to be grateful to him for the opportunity.

As was painfully obvious during my presentation, there is a great deal of emotion I pour into the work that I do… and it is work. On the surface, it must seem as though I am engaged in activities many people would argue are dangerous, dark, or even ‘sinful.’ I am often engaged in conversations with people who feel this way. It is my sincere hope that anyone who attended the conference left with the exact opposite view.

Spirit communication – as far as I have experienced it – has been almost entirely life-affirming. This may be difficult for many to believe, but it is nonetheless true. It has not been easy for me to put myself and these experiences ‘on display,’ but I do it because I believe the overall message is what’s important. My motivation is not to capture the next great ghost photo or record the world’s most impressive disembodied voice; I have nothing to ‘prove’ to anyone. I simply want to open people’s minds to the possibility that we never truly lose the ones we love.

The response to the material I have presented over the past two years has been overwhelmingly positive. As a result, I have begun working on my next book, Reaching Beyond the Veil: Unlocking the Mystery of Modern Spirit Communication (published by Whitechapel Press) which I hope to have completed and available by the end of the year.

The book will provide, in detail, the progression of my interest and involvement in the paranormal (both personally and professionally) with a focus on my work with Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP), Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC), and more recently with Induced After-Death Communication (IADC.) It will also address several topics often in debate among those within the paranormal community and without, including fear-based misconceptions, scientific skepticism, varying religious stances, and more.

Information on the book’s release will be posted here on my website as soon as it becomes available. Thank you for visiting my blog, and as always, I appreciate and welcome your feedback.
